Well Revolution App

Product design    ⸺

Well Revolution at its core is consulting with a doctor. Consultations are key to gaining access to other features within the app - such as prescriptions for medications and sick notes.

Due to social distancing restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, remote UX testing was implemented to ensure that the app is usable and meets the expectations of patients.

Our remote testing process

We utilize both moderated and unmoderated testing procedures. In a remote-testing platform, we create instructions and tasks, which the user completes on their own while recording their screen, voice, and (sometimes) camera. We then schedule a Zoom call to find out more.

What we tested

Three new features were tested:

  1. Consult flow

  2. Online to offline seamlessly

  3. Order repeat prescriptions

One UI change to solve multiple things

During testing, one idea was to make it easy for people to do what they most often want to do.

  1. Chat with a doctor

  2. Book in-clinic appointment

  3. Order a repeat prescription

  4. Talk with someone

The idea is right, but we want to keep the home screen uncluttered - and not end up being “just like” other portals.

What did we learn?

UX testing helped us uncover problems, discover opportunities, and learn about users.

✅ Distinguish better between online and in-person visits

✅ “Start Consult” creates an immediate expectation

✅ Preference for obvious options

✅ Preference for the most important things on the home screen

✅ Preference for a single action
